Equity/Diversity Leadership and Organising Training
With your support we can strengthen our leadership and organising capacity to better reflect our community and our values for equality. During 2023 Australian Fabians will be providing Leadership, Organising and Action course, training based on the practices developed by Prof Marshall Ganz at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Expressions of interest for our first course in March and other courses to be run during this year are now open to any member (free) or supporter (at low cost) of Australian Fabians (see details here). Any member or supporter selected or our Equity and Diversity Program will have a training place freely provided. Your contribution will enable us to provide places in our March 2023 course for more women or others on low incomes, First Nations Australians, young people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities and members of our LGBTIQAO+ community leading and organising for our cause. In the short video below our past National Fabian Board Chair, Billy Colless is in conversation with our online course coordinator, Noor Masood. They run through the basics of the leadership and organising model.
This link will take you to a summary of the Ganz training generated in 500 words by the artificial intelligence software ChatGPT.
If you or someone you know or progressive organisation you work with is interested, March 2023 course places are currently open. Details for this online course are available here or by email to philip.o’[email protected].
