Hampson Dinner Payment 2024
The Annual Terry Hampson Dinner is a great opportunity for Fabian members, supporters and their friends to gather in an informal setting, enjoy good food and company as well as reflect on the challenges faced by those of us committed to progressive politics in Queensland. Our Speaker is Actor and Activist Aaron Fa'aoso. Aaron has just stood down as co-chair with Professor Tom Calma of the Treaty and Truth Telling Committee. He will invigorate us with his ideas to promote policy and action in this area. Many will know of Aaron from productions like The Straits ( which he wrote and produced, Strait to the Plate, East West 101, Blue Water Empire, and Black Comedy. Aaron is a Board member of SBS Australia. He holds a Masters Degree of Film Business from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, serves on a number of Boards and Committees including Screen Queensland, Cairns Indigenous Art Fair,, and the Indigenous Connections Committee of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia. He has his own production company Lonestargroup. This year we dine on Friday 29th November 2024 from 5:30pm for 6:00pm at the Southbank TAFE Institute of Hospitality Restaurant, 66 Ernest St., South Brisbane. Tickets are $65 for non-waged members; $75 for waged members; $80 for non-waged nonmembers; $90 waged nonmembers.
