Our key note speaker at the WA Branch of Australian Fabians AGM will be Michael Hilliard. Michael is a Defence and Economics analyst specializing in the defence policy of Russia, Europe, and the former Soviet republics. With over a decade of on-the-ground experience as both an analyst and journalist, he has reported from some of the world's most tumultuous warzones and has received numerous awards for his reporting and analytical work. In his consulting role, Michael also advises on strategic policy for the UK, US, and Australian governments. However, he is perhaps best known in the broader geopolitical community as the founder and host of The Red Line Podcast (linked here), a prominent geopolitical analysis program focusing on global conflicts. The program streamed over 30 million times in more than 150 countries and has been included in Harvard University's recommended list.
The meeting will also hear a report from the National Chair of Australian Fabians, Sarah Howe. Financial members of the WA Branch of Australian Fabians are advised that nominations are now open for positions of WA Convenor (1), WA National Board Representative (1) and membership of the WA Organising Group (6).
