
Running over Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th March (1:30-5:00pm), this is an intensive, two-half day training course on campaign leadership and organising. The course is coordinated nd primarily delivered by Phil O'Donoghue, an experienced and qualified organiser-leader trainer for this curricula based on that developed by Professor Marshall Ganz through his program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Subjects covered in this course include:
- Public Narrative - Tell the story of your values in ways that motivate and persuade others
- Public Narrative Coaching - How to coach others to tell their story
- Coaching for Organisational Challenges - How to support others to solve campaign problems
- Organising Overview - Key aspects of campaign strategy and engagement
- How to Organise an Event;
- An Introduction to Digital Organising - The role of email, social media and other communications
Much work is undertaken in trainer-led small groups. A course manual is provided for reading in advance and reference after the course.
Course costs
Course costs vary for members and non-members, as well as those who are waged or concessional. For Fabian members the costs are: $50 (Waged Member), $30 (Concessional Member) or $80 (Waged Non-member), $50 (Concession Non-member). We don't wish fees to be a barrier to participation.
