Whether it's the impact on the health and wellbeing of those that face racism, a treaty with our first nations, immigration policy or the realities and perceptions of crime or poverty, race and politics are topics some find uncomfortable but most agree are important. Recently appointed Director of the University of WA Public Policy Institute, Professor Shamit Saggar will give this address. Prior to his appointment he was a recognised researcher in this area and an adviser to the Blair Labour Government in the UK. This event is open to members of Australian Fabians and members are encouraged to bring along a guest, especially someone that might be interested to join Australians Fabians! Drinks and nibbles will be provided. Alanna Clohesy MLC, a Fabian member, has kindly agreed to host this event. To RSVP please complete your details below. Note that we will gain access via the main entrance to Parliament House and we will need to lodge all names with security. If you do bring a guest please email their name to [email protected] to facilitate that.
