2022 Federal Election Analysis - In-Person

William Bowe has worked as an election analyst since 2004 and leading up to this 2022 federal election was a voting and poll data consultant analyst for the Teal campaigns. An ABC radio election and Crikey commentator, his blog, The Poll Bludger, is one of the most heavily trafficked websites on Australian politics.
Karen Luscombe is Principal Researcher for WA Opinion Poll, which specialises in quantitative and qualitative research. Together with her life and business partner, Jim Lamev, they conducted focus group research for the successful 1993 "True Believers" election victory for Labor.

Messaging Research on Race and Jobs
On 20th April, WA Fabians co-hosted with the McKell Institute, UnionsWA, and the University of WA Centre for Public Policy a discussion of research commissioned by the Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC) and conducted Australian Council of Trade Union Insights Unit undertook on messaging on race and jobs. This original acrylic on canvas painting, "Autumn Love", is by the Hon Ljlijanna Ravich, former WA Labor MP and Minister, the first woman born in a non-English speaking country to be elected to the WA Parliament. She has graciously contributed art for a number of great causes and we are proud that she has chosen to do so for the benefit of Fabians in WA. This beautiful, professionally framed work is 67cm (W) X 88 cm (H).

Rivers in Crisis
On Monday March 29th 2021, Prof Peter Davies of Murdoch University delivered this address for the Western Australian branch of Australian Fabians on the ecological health of rivers, and particularly how to restore degraded landscapes in areas of intensive land use and escalating climate change.
