What Can State Governments Do?

Wednesday - 30 September, 2015 - 06:00 PM

CPSU House - Haymarket, Australia

In this short lecture, the Hon Daniel Mookhey MLC will argue that State Governments possess immense power to propose progressive answers to 21st Century questions like the future of the sharing economy, the speed of Australia’s energy transformation, the changing nature of work and the future of the City.

With Canberra deadlocked, Mr Mookhey will argue that progressives need to update their ’theory of change’ needs to account for the role State Governments can play, especially their ability to become ‘laboratories of reform’ which make the job of national change easier.
